(AA) – Kuwaiti preacher Tareq al-Suwaidan has confirmed that he had been prevented from entering Belgium due to – what he called – his “stances against Zionism.”
“Under the pressure of the Zionist lobby, the Belgian government decided to prevent me from entering the country despite having a valid travel visa, a measure taken due to my clear-cut stances against Zionism and Israel’s barbaric crimes,” the Kuwaiti preacher said on Twitter.
Belgium on Tuesday said it had banned al-Suwaidan from entering the country where he was due to speak at the Brussels Muslim Fair this weekend over his “anti-Semitic” remarks.
