Barcelona win “El Clasico” at Nou Camp

 (AA) – Barcelona closely beat their bitter rivals Real Madrid 2-1 in “El Clasico” on Sunday night at Nou Camp, Barcelona.

“Barca” took the lead in 19th minute when French defender Jeremy Mathieu finding the net with a header.

Visitors Real Madrid managed to equalize after their Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo put the ball into the net in 31st minute of the derby: 1-1.

In the 56th minute of ‘El Clasico’, Barcelona’s Uruguayan star forward Luis Suarez scored the winning goal for his team: 2-1.

The derby triumph gave La Liga leaders Barcelona the advantage for winning the league title. Catalans having 68 points increased the point margin to four against their bitter rivals Real Madrid who are now in the second spot in the league table.
