(AA) – The copilot deliberately took the Germanwings plane down, causing it to crash on Tuesday in the French Alps, said the prosecutor of Marseille, Brice Robin, charged with the investigation.

Robin said that sound records taken from the plane’s black boxes reveal that the copilot was in control of the flight when the crash happened.

“The copilot intentionally kept the pilot outside the cockpit and forced the Germanwings plane to dive,” Robin said.

The prosecutor said that the copilot didn’t sent any distress call and deliberately refused to answer the one sent by aviation officers on the ground.

“We can hear him breathing in the cockpit until the last moment of the crash,” the prosecutor added.
