Jordanian military training plane crashes, crew killed

(AA) – A Jordanian military training plane crashed Monday morning between the kingdom’s northern cities of Ar Ramtha and Mafraq, killing its two-member crew, the army said.

A training plane belonging to the Royal Jordanian Air force crashed in a designated training area, leading to the death of pilot Ibrahim Hassouneh and his Iraqi student Laith Ali Nasser, the Jordanian army said in a statement on its website.

The general command of the Jordanian Armed Forces has extended its condolences to the families of the victims, the statement read.
