Juventus fan Nicolo De Marchi is taking the idea of the “Road to Berlin” seriously, walking 683 miles from Turin to the venue of the Champions League final in order to get a ticket to the game.

The Italian pledged to do it as a show of his support if Juventus reached the final—and seeing that on social media, the club promised him a ticket if he completed the journey.

Juventus have been chronicling his progress every day and detailing the lengthy route, sometimes in less than pleasant weather, as he goes:

De Marchi, was due to arrive in Berlin on Thursday, but despite a slight delay, he should make it to the German capital on the day before the game.

He has been allowed to cycle in small parts of the journey where walking was not possible, and he also had a 12-mile car ride, but the rest has been on foot and taken in four countries: Italy, Switzerland, Austria and Germany.
