German postal and logistics group Deutsche Post DHL (DPWGn.DE) confirmed its 2016 targets as it reported a jump in third-quarter profit, with flourishing demand for parcel deliveries helping to boost results.
The group reported on Tuesday third quarter earnings before interest and tax (EBIT) of 755 million euros (673 million pounds), beating forecasts for 717 million in a Reuters poll.
Deutsche Post confirmed it expected 2016 EBIT to rise to between 3.4 and 3.7 billion euros. Analysts are forecasting on average full-year revenues of 58 billion euros and underlying EBIT of 3.5 billion.
