Real Madrid secured their place in the final of the Champions League after a thrilling 2-2 draw with Bayern Munich at the Bernabeu.
Zinedine Zidane’s men were forced to hang on late on as Bayern laid siege at the goal but the holders just about got over the line.
They will now look to retain their crown for a third successive season and make it a staggering 13 victories in this competition.
Unsurprisingly, Real’s players celebrated out on the pitch afterwards – but those scenes did not go down well on the red half of Merseyside.
Liverpool are likely to face Real in Kiev later this month, should they finish the job against Roma on Wednesday.
The Real players wore shirts printed with ‘to ‘ as they celebrated out on the Bernabeu pitch after the Bayern win.
Those t-shirts also had the date of the final in Kiev as they looked ahead to the showpiece match.
But many Liverpool fans felt they were getting carried away – and suggested the celebrations should be just the incentive Jurgen Klopp’s men need.
