SportAjagba, Abbey, others in mega fights abroad

Four Nigerian boxers are set for crucial bouts overseas with Efe Ajagba and Aina Abbey leading the charge, PRIMANEWS Sports Extra reports.
World Boxing Council silver title-holder Ajagba will be eyeing a fourth successive victory when he takes on Italian Guido Vianello at the American Bank Center, Corpus Christi in Texas, USA.
The Nigerian-born fighter will face Vianello ahead in the co-main event of the April 13th fight night alongside Jared Anderson’s clash with Ryad Merhy.
Unbeaten Nigerian WBF International Super-Flyweight champion, Abbey (11-0-0-9KOs) will battle the current IBO Intercontinental and WBC Youth world Bantamweight champion French Jeyssa Marcel (12-0-0-2KOs) in eight rounds  of an international female Bantamweight clash on Friday (today) at Zenith Metropole, Nantes, Loire-Atlantique,  France.
Abbey landed in France on Wednesday for the mega-bout and is expecting a tough bout against her 22-year-old opponent.
It is a tough fight because she is number one in her country in our weight category and I am going to fight her there.”
‘Iron Abbey’, however, remains confident in her ability to leave the ring with both the WBF and IBO belts in tow.
“It is a challenge like any good fight but I still have the belief that I am going to win against her, I want to defeat her even more especially because I know it is going to be in hostile ground for me,” the 27-year-old said.
Idowu Rasheed (5-1-1-5KOs) of Aiyegbeni Boxing club in Ibadan will be making his international debut against Ghanaian Bastie Samir (20-1-1-18KOs) in 10-rounds of non-stop action for the vacant UBO African light-heavyweight title on Saturday, April 13th at Kawukudi Park Nima, in Accra, Ghana.
Last but not least, former WBF Internationall heavyweight champion, Onoriode Ehwarieme (20-3-0-19KOs) will takes on American boxer, Deontae Pettigrew (12-0-0-8KOs) in a ten-rounds heavyweight clash on Saturday night, April 13th at the Dome at the Ballpark, Rosemont, Illinois, USA.
