Nigerian striker Victor Olatunji is eager to lead Sparta Praha’s attack as the Czech champions host Inter Milan in Czechia on Wednesday (today), aiming to end their four-game winless streak in the UEFA Champions League.

The Czech champions started strong in the league phase, earning four points from their first two fixtures, including an emphatic 3-0 victory over Salzburg on match-day 1.

Olatunji scored and assisted in the game, hugging the headlines with his goal celebration as well.

However, they have since faltered, losing four consecutive games, the latest being a 4-2 defeat against Feyenoord.

The 25-year-old has contributed two goals and one assist in six Champions League appearances this season.

Recently in fine form, the striker has scored against Malmo and Bodo/Glimt, and he is determined to add to his tally in the competition.

Speaking ahead of the game, Olatunji shared his thoughts on the upcoming challenge against the Italian giants.

“The game against Inter will be tough,” Olatunji told TVC.

“We just hope we can turn things around and move up in the table.”

The player also spoke about the feeling of playing in what is described as the biggest club competition in the world.

“Playing the Champions League is like a dream come true. It’s a big competition, playing against big players and clubs. I love everything about the competition because getting here is not easy. It takes a lot of hard work.”

Olatunji has four goals and one assist in the competition this season as well as six goals in 18 domestic games.

Sparta Praha who are without a win in their last five games are 28th in the log with just four points.
