The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has called for the release of a TikToker, Olumide Ogunsanwo, also known as ‘SeaKing,’ who was rearrested for allegedly cyberbullying him.

Adeboye spoke during the church’s monthly Holy Ghost Service held at the Redemption City, Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, Ogun State, on Friday.

In a video of his sermon at the service that began trending on Saturday, Adeboye clarified that he had no hand in SeaKing’s arrest, stating that certain individuals, angered by the TikToker’s remarks, took the decision to arrest him

Adeboye said in part, “I heard that there is someone who lambasted me thoroughly. What is my offence? Because I asked my people to fast for 100 days. I didn’t ask him o.

“I didn’t even ask anybody who is not a member of the Redeemed Christian Church of God to fast.

“I was told some people got so angry and went to arrest the fellow. Release him, he’s fulfilling prophecy”.

Rights activist, Omoyele Sowore, who visited Seaking, alongside some lawyers, in police custody in Abuja on Friday had reported that they were told that his arrest was based on a petition from one Paul James Adama using the name of a Christian association or group “affiliated with FPRO Adejobi Olumuyiwa.”

He said the petition was reportedly submitted on behalf of Adeboye.
