Israel Adesanya is set to headline the UFC’s second Fight Night event in Saudi Arabia on February 1, 2025, against Nassourdine Imavov at The Venue in Riyadh, PUNCH Sports Extra reports.

The middleweight clash marks a crucial opportunity for Adesanya to rebuild his career momentum after suffering recent defeats to Sean Strickland and Dricus du Plessis.

Imavov, holding a 15-4 record and riding a three-fight winning streak, represents a significant challenge for the former champion, with a potential victory potentially launching him into title contention.

Adesanya, who previously dominated the middleweight division with a 20-0 record and multiple successful title defences, has experienced a turbulent period in recent years, including losses to Alex Pereira and Sean Strickland.

The UFC Riyadh card promises additional exciting matchups, including heavyweight bouts between Sergei Pavlovich and Jairzinho Rozenstruik, and Hamdy Abdelwahab versus Jamal Pogues.

Other compelling fights include middleweight contests between Ikram Aliskerov and Andre Muniz, and Shara Magomedov against Michael Page.

The women’s division will be represented by a flyweight bout between Jasmine Jasudavicius and Mayra Bueno Silva.

This event underscores the UFC’s continued expansion into the Middle East, offering fans a thrilling showcase of international mixed martial arts talent.
