Nigeria defender Ola Aina and the rest of the Nottingham Forest players resumed their preseason on Monday, preparatory to the 2024/2025 Premier League season.
The 27-year-old was the postal boy on the official website of the club, as they showed a video of the players arriving at City Ground with their bags.
Forest will face Olympiacos in a pre-season match next month as preparations continue for the new season. The Reds will head to Piraeus on Thursday, August 8, with kick-off scheduled for 9 p.m. local time at Karaiskakis Stadium.
The fixture will see Olympiacos return to the Karaiskakis Stadium with their European trophy for the first time since the historic win over Fiorentina.
Fresh from his holiday in New York, Aina took part in a strong number of the team’s Premier League matches in 2023/2024, making 22 appearances overall and playing 1,701 minutes. He started in 20 of these appearances across their 38 fixtures and came on as a substitute on two occasions.
It will be his second season at Nottingham following his arrival from Torino, where he played 19 Serie A games, scored one goal, and provided one assist.
Prior to moving to Nottingham Forest in July 2023, Aina made 72 league appearances in total at Torino, scoring one goal and providing three assists.
Forest will kick-start their Premier League campaign against AFC Bournemouth at City Ground on August 16.
