ANCOPPS laments unpaid salaries

News ArticleANCOPPS laments unpaid salaries

All Nigeria Conference of Principals of Public Schools has complained about the non-payment of salaries to their members.
The national president, ANCOPPS, Mr Musa Ibrahim, lamented that teachers and principals were not paid salaries during the Buhari administration, adding that the stay-at-home, in the South-East, affected both teachers and learners adversely.
He said, “During the Buhari administration, teachers generally, principals inclusive in some states had problems of non-payment of salaries.
“A lot of our members were killed during the insurgency in the North-East, Central, and West. This had created serious concerns about our productivity. Generally, teachers had it tough especially in the South-East due to the stay-at-home period which adversely affected teaching and learning.”
He added that more worrisome during the Buhari administration without a solution till now, was the increase in the number of out-of-school children.
Recall that Internally Displaced Camps in the North witnessed a huge surge of children who could no longer go to school due to terrorism in their various states.
Ibrahim appealed to the Federal Government to look into the complaints of ANCOPPS.
