Popular content creator, Afeez Ojesanmi, popularly known as Salo, was reported to have been robbed of his jewellery and shot on the leg on Thursday, October 10, 2024, around the Lekki axis of Lagos State, and was subsequently taken to Perez Medcare Hospital, Lekki Phase 2.

Making the announcement online, another TikToker, Tunde Perry, said “They have shot Salo in the leg. They have also stolen his gold chain at one filling station in Lekki. Some boys just rushed him to the hospital and I have gone there now.”

In another video, Salo’s Mercedes Benz vehicle could be seen stained with what looks like blood and an empty bullet case on the driver’s seat.

Meanwhile, another video had gone viral showing Salo requesting security from his manager, identified as Sula. He had said, “Sula, please provide me with security. I ought to have. Help me with one mopol, Sula, my daddy.”

Although it isn’t known if it was a robbery or if there were more sinister motives as some have suggested, Salo was said to have had an altercation with another TikToker before the incident.

Reacting to the post, a follower, iam_bmodel, wrote, “On top small TikTok cruise wey he dey catch and see small money, una don dey jealous and shoot him (sic). Very sad.”

Mayfine247_interiors added, “They are taking their TikTok beef too far.”

Oma_chukwuu also wrote, “Please, let’s be careful of how we talk to people on the Internet because some people can go any length to hurt you. Speedy recovery salo.”

The Lagos State Police spokesperson, Benjamin Hundeyin, when contacted on Friday, confirmed the attack to our reporter.

“Salo was truly shot yesterday at Admiralty Way, Lekki. We have begun an investigation into the incident and I will give you further updates,” he said.
