Barcola on the move?
Football Transfer Centre

Arsenal appear to be losing ground in their efforts to sign Benjamin Sesko from RB Leipzig, and rumours from France suggest that the Gunners could now move for Paris St Germain forward Bradley Barcola in a deal that could be worth more than 70 million euros. The Champions League winner has been on the fringe of the club’s first-team and has been told he is not guaranteed a starting berth at the Parc Des Princes.

Having won Europe’s top accolade with PSG, Barcola is reportedly open to a new challenge and the 22-year-old forward, formerly of Lyon, is desperate for a move to the Premier League at some point. A move could come earlier than anticipated if PSG opt to sell the star forward.

With Gabriel Martinelli linked with an exit from Arsenal, the Gunners are rumoured to be in the race for a new winger and Barcola can operate on the left flank as well as in attack.

Barcola has scored 18 goals in 59 games since arriving at PSG in 2023, an impressive Ligue 1 goalscoring record, and has 14 caps for France with two goals.

However, Arsenal’s efforts to sign Barcola are likely to be challenged by other clubs including Bayern Munich and Barcelona, both of whom are monitoring the forward’s situation.

Arsenal have yet to announce any transfers during the ongoing summer transfer window, leaving Gunners supporters uneasy.
