(AA) – German football giants Bayern Munich have thrashed Portuguese team Porto 6-1 in the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals second leg in Munich and qualified for the semi-finals by winning 7-4 on aggregate.

In the 14th minute on Tuesday, home team Bayern Munich took the lead at the Allianz Arena when Thiago’s header went in, 1-0.

Eight minutes later Bayern Munich doubled the score with Jerome Boateng, who found the net with a close range header.

In the 27th minute, Bayern Munich made it three when Robert Lewandowski hit the target with a header with Thomas Muller making the assist.

Muller scored the fourth goal for Bayern Munich in the 36th minute by taking a low shot which was deflected by Porto defender Bruno Martins Indi and deceived goalkeeper Fabiano.

Lewandowski made it five in the 40th minute of the game.

The Polish star striker put the ball into the net by placing it in the corner. Bayern were ecstatic.

In the 73rd minute, Porto striker Jackson Martinez scored with a header at close range, 1-5.

Near the end of the game Porto defender Ivan Marcano was sent off after making a harsh sliding tackle against his opponent.

Bayern Munich midfielder Xabi Alonso found the net from a free kick in the 88th minute, 6-1.

Meanwhile, in the other top game of the night, Barcelona toppled Paris Saint-Germain 2-0 at Nou Camp.

Neymar was the scorer for “Barca” at home.

Bayern Munich and Barcelona qualified for the semi final stage in the Champions League while Porto and PSG have been eliminated.
