The Planter of Christ Apostolic Church, Adamimogo Grace of Mercy Prayer Mountain Worldwide, Prophet Sam Olu-Alo, has called on Nigerians to support the government in providing quality education for Nigerian students.
He spoke while donating state-of-the-art blocks of classrooms and a library to Temidire Community High School, Temidire Ekiti, and to St. Benedict’s Catholic Nursery and Pry School, Ido Ekiti.
He said the motivation to donate was borne out of the resolve to impact lives as well as his covenant with God to be a blessing to people.
“In all the developed countries I have been to, 70 per cent of the schools up to university level are owned by churches before they were taken over by the government. The facilities there make studying and learning attractive to the children, which informed my building and donating the state-of-the-art block of classrooms to the schools.
“Government alone cannot do everything for us they have their responsibilities and citizens have theirs too,” he said.
Alo expressed happiness that education was free for children in the state from primary one to Senior Secondary two, saying it would help indigent parents send their children to school.
He also called on old students from home and abroad to support their alma mater
Onikun of Temidire Ekiti, Oba Moses Fabusuyi, thanked Olu-Alo for donating the blocks of classrooms to the schools.
The youth of Temidire Ekiti Community presented award of recognition to Alo while an award of excellence was presented to him by the staff, parents, and pupils of Benedict’s Nursery and Pry School, Ido Ekiti for his contribution to the development of education in Ekiti State and nationally.
In response, Olu-Alo promised to donate sets of computers and provide boreholes in both schools.
