Reality FA, Oki United and B. United FA recorded victories on the opening weekend of the 2025 Divtech Sports football tournament at the Oki Primary School stadium in Iyana Ipaja, Lagos, PUNCH Sports Extra reports.

In Saturday’s Group A opener, Reality FA secured a 1-0 win over Darling FC, while Oki United defeated FC Synergia by the same scoreline.

Sunday’s Group B fixtures saw B. United FA claim a 2-0 victory against SGH Sports Academy, while Pladis FC and King FC played out a 2-2 draw.

Divtech Sports Director, Oladapo Olalekan, expressed satisfaction with the tournament’s organisation.

“So far, this year’s tournament has been the best, it’s an improvement on the last one. We now have an opening ceremony before the matches start,” Olalekan told our correspondent.

“Apart from the fact that the winner will be going home with prizes, the main purpose of this tournament is to discover hidden talent at the grassroots, who tomorrow can be football heroes. We are doing our best to bring in scouts to observe the players as well.”

The tournament, which runs until March 22, features increased prize money of N150,000 for the winners and N80,000 for runners-up, up from N100,000 and N60,000 respectively in previous editions.

JKB Lagos MD Adebaja Adekunle, whose company is one of the sponsors of the competition, highlighted their commitment to youth development.

“This is our community, JKB Lagos resides basically in Iyana Ipaja, and we are here to bring more joy to the youth because they are the future of the country,” Adekunle said.

The organisers have also promised high standards of officiating throughout the 16-team tournament.

“We have brought in professional referees. It wasn’t that I just put in some people to be officials in the field of play,” Olalekan added.
