CHILLING footage shows an abandoned hotel resort with mouldy broken beds and graffiti-covered crumbling walls after it was left untouched for 14 years.
Once a luxury holiday hotspot near to Disney World, the Orlando Sun Resort is now a shell of its former self as it started to rot and decay just years after it closed due to “serious financial trouble”.

Since 2010, hardly anyone has stepped foot inside the eerie resort outside of graffiti artists and curious explorers.
Urban explorer Dave, who goes by Freaktography online, was one of the brave people to enter through the rusting front gates as he filmed his shocking discovery.
From the moment you walk through the park’s entrance you are met with graffiti blazed across the welcome sign.
The harrowing words “lonely world’ are plastered across it with the overgrown gardens at the front making for an unpleasant first impression.

Inside, the dust laden grand hall sits piled with rubble from knocked down walls as tables and chairs have been left thrown around the room.
Up above, the roof can be seen caving in with mould and dirt climbing up the sides of the greying walls.
More obscene graffiti has been drawn inside, fitting in with the trashed sights.
Weeds can be seen sprouting up throughout the grounds as the luxury suites left behind sum up the decline of the resort,
Furniture has been left behind as dirty old mattresses and sofas take up space both in the rooms and on the surrounding lawns.
The walls have turned black as beams and rods start to erode away.
Even the balcony’s that were reserved for the richer guests have turned from a clean white colour to a rusting brown mess.
One of the saddest bits of the complex’s rich history that has been left to disintegrate overtime is the flashy pool side area.
The spot which used to host thousands frolicking in the sun every day has been transformed into a pit of despair.
The pool water has been left a murky green with smashed glass and ceramics laid to waste around the decaying pool.
A SAD DECLINE
Built originally in the 1970s, the sprawling complex was first known as the Hyatt Orlando Resort.
It had over 3,400 swanky hotel rooms and a huge convention centre where thousands flocked to across the year.
With unique octagon-shaped buildings it was considered futuristic and modern back in the 1970s.
One of the biggest attractions for guests was its prime location just a stones throw from Disney World and Universal Studios in Florida.
This made it a peak tourist hub as families would snap up one of the many Hyatt Orlando Resort rooms before making their way to the iconic children’s playground for days of fun.
At its brilliant, bustling best, the hotel was one of the largest in Florida, but sadly it wasn’t enough.

By the end of 1990s it fell into trouble as its ownership was tossed around to millionaire to millionaire all trying to leech onto the success of Disney.
In 2007, it was renamed Orlando Sun Resort and underwent a $1million dollar refurbishment.
But it finally failed to attract enough guests in 2010 and ultimately closed for good.
Today, it stands as a ghostly monument to its former glory and has been left alone in a dismal state.

Explorer Dave, told Luxury Travel Daily: “The resort’s glory days were short-lived. It struggled to attract guests and by 2002 it was in serious financial trouble.
“The local tourism economy was collapsing and visitors to Walt Disney World preferred to stay on Disney property.
“It began to suffer from financial difficulties due to poor management, increasing competition so the Orlando Sun Resort closed its doors.
“The staff departed and nature began reclaiming the property, transforming it into an eerie and silent reminder of the past.”
It was reportedly bought in 2021 by a New York company that received a grant to improve the site.
However, no work has been done to date on it with nothing said to be planned either.
