European Parliament terms 1915 events ‘genocide’

PRIMA TV.European Parliament terms 1915 events 'genocide'

genocideThe European Parliament has adopted a resolution that recognizes the 1915 events affecting Armenians as “genocide” in Brussels on April 15, 2015. Vice-President of Budget and Human Resources Kristalina Georgieva and Chairman of the European Parliament Committee on Foreign Affairs Elmar Brok delivered speeches before the voting started. Turkey has repeatedly rejected the EU’s definition of the event and has pointed out that Armenians died during a relocation process in 1915 during World War I when a portion of the Armenian population living in the Ottoman Empire sided with the invading Russians and revolted against the empire.[KGVID width=”640″ height=”512″]http://www.primanews.org/wp-content/uploads/2015/04/aa_video_20150416_5056718_sd_4_3_w.mp4[/KGVID]
