A leading real estate development company, Urban Living Development Limited, embarked on a dual-impact community outreach programme in the Badore Ajah area of Lagos State.

In a statement sent to PUNCH Online on Sunday, the Chief Executive Officer of Urban Living Development, John Oyedepo said the initiative included an environmental cleanup exercise and a social welfare project, Operation Feed 500.

Oyedepo said the programme is aimed at fostering a cleaner environment and addressing food insecurity within the community.

Emphasising the importance of the initiative, Oyedepo said, “Our role as corporate citizens goes beyond business. It’s about contributing to the well-being of the environment and the communities we serve.

“CSR is a fundamental part of our identity as a company. We believe in using our resources to make a difference, not just in business but in the lives of the people and places we touch.”

Also speaking, the COO and co-founder of the firm, Olawale Aremu, said the cleanup effort was followed by a meal distribution project that provided nutritious meals to over 500 vulnerable individuals in the community.

He added that the initiative targeted children, the elderly, and those facing financial hardship, offering not just sustenance but also a sense of care and community connection.

Aremu remarked, “Our commitment to CSR isn’t just about initiatives; it’s about improving lives and building a better society.

“The outreach program aligns with the company’s broader mission of integrating CSR into its operations, demonstrating how corporate entities can lead efforts in environmental preservation and social welfare.”
