An online newspaper, Newspread says it has launched a street cooking competition tagged ‘Sabi Chef’ to discover and reward street chefs across the country.
According to a statement, while announcing the street cooking competition at a press conference recently in Lagos, Director/Editor-in-Chief of Newspread.ng, Uche Nnadozie, stated that the inaugural edition of the competition would take place at Muri Okunola Park, Victoria Island, Lagos on December 8.
Explaining the concept behind Sabi Chef cooking competition, Nnadozie said, “It is in continuation of the role of showcasing the creativity of Nigerians, that we decided to invite street chefs to compete against one another with a view to elevating their craft and recognising their talent, work ethic in a fast-changing world.”
To qualify to participate in Sabi Chef the organisers said that the entry is open to Nigerians who are from 18 years and above and are not professional chefs.
