The app which according to the developer is designed for both restaurant-goers and supermarket shoppers, ensuring an all-encompassing experience for users looking to get meals or groceries at the touch of a button.
The app according to the Chief Executive Officer of Supermart, Timothy Ugoojo Okeh allows users to easily navigate through a variety of food menus and supermarket listings, order items, and track their orders in real-time.
He said, “It stands out with its efficient menu management, which features real-time updates to ensure that users always have access to the latest offerings. In addition, customer data is securely stored, ensuring privacy while improving personalisation as the app will manage the food menu with real-time updates, store customer data securely, and provide real-time order tracking using order status updates.
“The app supports discount offers, and email marketing to boost user engagement and retention.”
He further stressed that with a focus on user engagement and retention, the app comes equipped with multiple marketing features, including discount offers and email marketing campaigns. It also integrates loyalty programs to reward repeat customers, further encouraging long-term use and brand loyalty.
“To ensure a quick and fluid user experience, the app has been optimised with lightweight design elements, caching, and a highly responsive user interface. It guarantees fast load times, even during high-traffic periods, contributing to an overall seamless ordering process.
“Users can also modify their orders easily before checkout or during certain stages of the ordering process, giving them the flexibility to change meal preferences, and delivery details, or remove items as needed,” the CEO established.
He explained that the app was developed using Flutter, noting that it offers cross-platform functionality for both iOS and Android users. Its backend is powered by Node.js, which ensures efficient performance, high scalability, and support for large order volumes. Enunciating that, “The backend has been designed to maintain accuracy even during peak demand periods, ensuring that users’ orders are processed correctly and without delay.”
While talking about security and payment protection, he emphasised that customer security remains a top priority, with the app utilisung end-to-end encryption and PCI-compliant payment gateways to ensure that payment information is kept safe.
