The Dolly Children Foundation, in partnership with the Flourish Roots Foundation, has empowered 100 children and their families in Makogi, Ogun State, through a holiday initiative known as the Bold Christmas Project.

In a statement, the foundations expressed their commitment to spreading the spirit of Christmas by providing educational support, gifts, and entertainment to children in underserved communities.

The Project Manager of the Dolly Children Foundation, Anuoluwapo Abraham, described this collaboration as a significant achievement, stating, “The Dolly Children Foundation and Flourish Roots Foundation came together to implement the Bold Christmas Project aimed at supporting children and their families.”

She noted that this initiative, now in its fifth year, exemplifies the strength of teamwork and a shared vision, emphasizing that “Together, we continue to make a meaningful impact in the lives of children and families, ensuring that the true spirit of Christmas—love, hope, and generosity—is felt by all.”

Abraham elaborated that the initiative provided each child with new school shoes and tailored clothing, stating, “The gifts extend beyond holiday cheer to address the educational needs of the children. Additionally, party gift packs were distributed to enhance the celebratory atmosphere.”

The event included various entertainment activities, such as games, face painting, and Christmas carols.

Likewise, the Project Manager of Flourish Roots Foundation, Adeyemi Adeniyi, highlighted the significance of the initiative by explaining, “The Bold Christmas Project has become a beacon of hope for children in underserved communities.

“Our partnership with the Dolly Children Foundation illustrates the transformative power of collaboration in promoting the spirit of giving, particularly during the holiday season.”

Adeniyi reaffirmed the Flourish Roots Foundation’s commitment to supporting underserved communities, remarking, “Our focus on clothing, education, and shelter ensures a brighter future for those in need. Through initiatives like the Bold Christmas Project, we aim to provide essential resources that create lasting, positive impacts.”

Both foundations underscored that their commitment to empowering children and families extends beyond the holiday season.
