The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency has declared four individuals wanted for their alleged roles in a drug trafficking syndicate linked to Lagos drug kingpin, Alhaji Suleiman Ganiu, also known as Barryshine.

Barryshine was arrested on August 26, 2024, two years after coming under the radar of the anti-narcotics agency.

A statement by the agency’s spokesman, Femi Babafemi, on Monday, said the suspect, who is the Managing Director/CEO of Barryshine Suleiman Nigeria Ltd., came under the agency’s watchlist over his alleged role in four foiled attempts to export cocaine to Saudi Arabia and Qatar through the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Ikeja, Lagos, between 2022 and 2024.

Babafemi stated that many of Barryshine’s drug mules had been arrested by the NDLEA, prosecuted, and convicted, while he is currently facing multiple criminal charges.

He further named four additional suspects now declared wanted: Olarenwaju Abdulai (a.k.a. Alhaji Loyingbo); Oluwafemi Abidoye (a.k.a. Igbono, Baba Eje, Ade Iwaya, Femi Iwaya) Olumuyiwa Ilori (a.k.a. Murphy); Alate Bukki of Kaffy Travels.

“The suspects were declared wanted following a court order by Justice Akintayo Aluko of the Federal High Court in Lagos,” Babafemi added.

He said the judge also ordered that a public notice with the suspects’ photographs should be conspicuously displayed.

“Members of the public with any information on the whereabouts of the four wanted suspects are encouraged to contact the nearest NDLEA command, call our toll-free helpline: 080010203040, or send direct messages to any of our social media accounts,” the statement added.
