A well-known Nigerian journalist has strongly criticised Napoli for making it hard for Victor Osimhen to leave the club. The journalist says the club’s transfer demands are unfair and harsh.

Osimhen, a top Nigerian striker, is trying to move to Galatasaray, but his transfer has become very complicated. New contract demands from Napoli may stop the deal from happening.

Journalist Angry Over €75 Million Fee and Sell-On Clause

Nigerian journalist Buchi Laba, who is close to Osimhen, shared his anger online after Napoli’s latest transfer terms were revealed.

Reacting on social media, Laba wrote:

“How can you ask for a sell-on clause for a player with just one year left on his contract and also want €75 million? It’s madness.”

He added that Napoli’s actions were nothing short of “wickedness,” saying the club was making the deal harder even though Osimhen reportedly wants the move to Galatasaray.

Fans also feel frustrated, believing that Napoli is blocking Osimhen’s chance to move, even though he has agreed personally with the Turkish club.

Napoli’s Demands Causing Delay

Reports from Italian journalists like Alfredo Pedullà and Fabrizio Romano say Napoli wants:

  • €40 million paid this year

  • €35 million paid next year (in one payment)

  • A sell-on clause, meaning Napoli would get a share of any future sale if Galatasaray sells Osimhen later

But Galatasaray has rejected these terms. They want to pay over a longer period, until 2027, and do not agree to giving Napoli a share of any future sale.

What Happens Next?

Because both clubs can’t agree, the transfer is now on hold. It’s not clear if Osimhen will get the move he wants before the new season starts.
