Clearwater Farms is set to make their debut at the 2025 Lagos International Polo Tournament.

The Kaduna-based equestrian firm will compete in the Lagos Open games February 4 and 7, and the Lagos Low Cup February 18 and 19, as 33 teams battle for honours at the Lagos Polo Club in Ikoyi.

Speaking ahead of the tournament, which runs from February 4 to 23, Clearwater Farms Chairman Brigadier General Kapeh Alwali Kazir (Rtd) expressed optimism about their chances.

“This opportunity allows us to showcase not only our horses but our team’s skill and the dedication and excellence that define Clearwater Farms,” Kazir said.

“Our goal is to inspire greater appreciation for polo and to offer unparalleled equestrian services that meet the needs of players, horse owners and families across the country.”

The firm, which boasts over 60 horses at their Kaduna facilities, provides stabling, horse rentals, transportation and training programmes for children and adults, including a beginner’s riding school.

Kazir also revealed plans to expand operations to Abuja and Lagos, with focus on developing advanced veterinary services, including specialised diagnostic equipment and a mobile farrier unit.

“Our expansion into Lagos is a significant step for us. We want to contribute to the development of a vibrant equestrian community by offering services that enable both beginners and experienced riders to thrive,” he added.

Established five decades ago, Clearwater Farms offers state-of-the-art stables, a riding school, and veterinary and farrier services.
