League leaders, Tojemarine Academy and Safety Babes will begin hostilities in the second phase of the Ardova against Correctional Boys and River Queens as the Ardova Handball Premier League resumes in Lagos on Wednesday.
In other games slated for Wednesday in the female category, Bendel Dynamos will take on Delta Queens, Defender Babes clash with Rima Queens, Seasiders Babes takes on COAS Shooters, while Plateau Peacocks take Imo Grasshoppers.
Other games in the male category will see Adamawa warriors battle Confluence Stars, Lagos Seasiders take on Kano Pillars, Sunshine Kings play Niger United, Benue Buffaloes lock horns with Safety Shooters, while D. Defenders clash Rima Strikers.
Tojemarine coach, Adewunmi Shittu, on Tuesday, expressed his team’s preparedness to win the league with an unbeaten record, noting that the target is to make his team to be the best in Africa.
He said his teams was in open camp for 30 days and in close camp for 21 days thus building a bond that would be difficult to break by opposing teams.
He said, “We are currently leading the second placed team with four points while we have a goal difference of +24. We will consolidate on our lead as the play against Correctional Boys in the opening game.
“Our preparation which included being in close and open camp for 51 days shows our preparation and expectations. We are building a team that can dominate Africa and not only the Nigerian handball scene.”
