Liverpool are increasingly confident of landing Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi on a free transfer next summer.
The Merseyside giants were on the cusp of signing the England international from the Eagles last summer, but the deal was blocked at the final hurdle.
The south London outfit decided to pull the plug on the proposed transfer after they could not find a suitable replacement before the window closed.
Guehi has since reintegrated with the squad. He plans to see out the remainder of the campaign with the Eagles before pursuing a free transfer next summer.
