Arteta on Caicedo’s red card

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has sent his reaction following Moises Caicedo‘s reckless red card during the Premier League draw against Chelsea on Sunday.

The Gunners shared the spoils against the Blues at Stamford Bridge on Sunday. The Blues went down to 10 men in the 38th minute, but Arsenal could not capitalise on the man advantage.

Trevoh Chalobah scored from a corner for the Blues. Arsenal equalised through Mikel Merino, but could find the much-needed winner.

Speaking after the 1-1 draw, manager Mikel Arteta was asked about the sending off. He said that the referee made the right call in the end.

Arteta said: “It was really fast. I saw the reaction and everyone was saying he’s off. Anthony made the call and I think it’s the right one.”

Arsenal started the weekend with a six-point lead at the top of the table, but that gap has reduced to five after a frustrating stalemate in west London.
