Geoffrey Ogunlesi, 33, the son of the United States-based Nigerian billionaire, Adebayo Ogunlesi, has bought a diamond engagement ring worth $500,000 for an American jewelry designer, Jennifer Meyer.
According to Daily Mail, Meyer, who divorced American actor and film producer Tobey Maguire in 2020, proudly showed off the ring on Saturday.
The duo were at the Baby2Baby gala in Los Angeles at the event, which also had American female celebrities like Jessica Alba, Nicole Richie, and Paris Hilton in attendance.
The two were seen cuddling up at the event to the admiration of famous personalities present.
“The ring looks to be in the $500,000 range,” Daily Mail quoted The Diamond Bank.
Ben Affleck’s ex-wife Jennifer Garner wrote, “Congratulations!!!!” to join numerous stars who showered Meyer with congratulatory messages.
“This makes us all so happy. I love you!!!” Actress Goldie Hawn wrote.
Also, news anchor, Allison Wise, said, “So happy for this angel queen – my everything BEST friend who is marrying the greatest man and her should mate! I love you and can’t wait to keep celebrating you both!”
Geoffrey is an entrepreneur and investor, recognised for his contributions to infrastructure and investment.
His father, Adebayo, 70, is a renowned investment banker and the founder of Global Infrastructure Partners.
Geoffrey and Meyer became engaged in September.
