Governor Siminalayi Fubara has pledged to work harmoniously with the Rivers State House of Assembly to recover lost ground and accelerate the advancement of the state’s social and economic development.

Fubara made this pledge in a statewide broadcast on Friday in Port Harcourt, the state capital.

He described the period of emergency as one of the most challenging moments for the state.

According to him, the responsibility now lies with leaders to put aside personal interests and pursue the common good.

“I remain committed to working with the House of Assembly in the interest of the state, and I thank the people of Rivers State for your resilience, peaceful conduct, and prayers,” he said.
