Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim has revealed that Bruno Fernandes did not pick up a hamstring injury against Crystal Palace in the Premier League.
The Red Devils returned to winning ways with a 2-1 comeback win over the Eagles on the road yesterday. Fernandes was one of the standout performers with a couple of assists.
Speaking after the game, Amorim clarified that Fernandes was holding onto his hamstring due to a kick and everything is okay with the Portuguese.
Amorim said: “It was a kick. I was shouting at him because he needs to learn that we will make a substitution if he talks to the bench. “But he said it was just a kick, so everything is okay.”
United are currently seventh in the standings after the win, but they are just three points adrift of fourth-placed Aston Villa. Hence, they are well within the Champions League race.
The Red Devils host West Ham in their next game on Thursday.
