The Kano State Head of Service, Abdullahi Musa, on Tuesday called on youths to shun social vices and adopt a lifestyle characterised by positivity, integrity, and responsibility.

He reiterated that youths are the future leaders and hope for a better tomorrow, and therefore, must avoid behaviours that could compromise their potential.

Musa warned that indulging in social vices would have far-reaching consequences, not only for individuals but also for the state’s development and progress.

He urged youths to strive for excellence, cultivate good character, as well as serve as role models toward ensuring a bright future for themselves and contributing to the overall well-being of society.

The Head of Service made the call during a courtesy visit by the National Youth Progressive Council to his office during which he was presented with an Award of Excellence for his performance in the civil service.

In a press statement, the Director of Public Enlightenment, Office of the Head of Service, Bintu Yakasai, said, “The Head of Service’s call to youths to shun social vices and embrace a positive lifestyle is a timely and crucial message.

“As leaders of tomorrow, it is essential for youths to recognise the importance of making responsible choices and cultivating good character.

“In this regard, they will not only secure a bright future for themselves but also contribute to the overall well-being and progress of our great state.”

Also, Musa advised youths to learn valuable lessons from the recent August hunger protest, which had devastating consequences for the nation, and to use those lessons to make positive changes in their lives and communities.
