GBLagos Art and Lifestyle, a local startup, has launched an e-commerce platform, ekoartmarket.com, to deliver African art worldwide.
According to a statement, this expansion marks a significant milestone in the company’s mission to make African art more accessible and empower local artisans.
Founded by the entrepreneurial couple, Oluwadamilare and Iyadunni Odunaro, GBLagos Art and Lifestyle has established itself as a leading promoter of African art and culture.
With expertise in fashion design, mechanical engineering, and international law and diplomacy, the duo identified a gap in the market and set out to bridge the divide between local artisans and global art enthusiasts.
The firm noted that the e-commerce platform will provide seamless transactions, making it easy for art enthusiasts worldwide to explore and purchase African art.
It added that with over 5,000 customers served to date, GBLagos Art and Lifestyle was poised to become a leading online marketplace for African works.
“Nigeria has so many talented people that create unique and inexpensive pieces, but people can’t see them. GBLagos Art and Lifestyle is changing that,” Damilare explained.
