Following the success of their collaboration last year as the official production company for the 2023 Nigeria Premier Football League season, Team33 Production has renewed its partnership with StarTimes as the official production partner for the upcoming season.
This renewed alliance promises to deliver top-tier football content to millions of fans across Nigeria and beyond.
Team33 Production, known for its expertise and innovative approach, will bring the NPFL to life on screens nationwide.
With StarTimes broadcasting NPFL matches, fans will enjoy every key moment of the season.
The partnership is further strengthened by a five-year broadcast rights deal between the NPFL and StarTimes, valued at N1bn.
This deal represents a significant milestone in reintroducing Nigeria’s elite football league to television audiences.
The collaboration ensures that fans nationwide will have access to live coverage of the NPFL with enhanced production value and state-of-the-art broadcasting techniques.
The CEO and co-founder of Team33 Production, Chichi Nwoko, expressed excitement about the renewed partnership, stating, “We are honoured to continue our role as the official production company for the NPFL.
“Our partnership with StarTimes allows us to enhance the viewing experience for millions of football fans, showcasing the very best of Nigerian football.
“Last year, we set a new standard in sports production, and this season, we are taking it even further.
“With the latest technology and a dedicated team of professionals, we are committed to delivering world-class coverage that captures the excitement, passion, and drama of the NPFL.”
She further highlighted the significance of the five-year broadcast rights deal, calling it a “game-changer” for Nigerian football.
“It not only brings the league to a wider audience but also highlights the growth and potential of our sports industry.
“Team33 Production is proud to be part of this journey, and we look forward to creating memorable experiences for fans, players, and everyone involved in the league,” Nwoko added.
Speaking on the renewed partnership, the Assistant Marketing Director of StarTimes, Lazarus Ibeabuchi, said, “StarTimes is happy to retain Team33 Production as our official broadcast partner for the 2024/25 NPFL season.
“Their reputation for exceptional production quality aligns perfectly with our commitment to delivering a thrilling viewing experience for our subscribers.”
Also, the NPFL Communications Director, Harry Iwuala, said, “StarTimes, through its production partners, Team33 Production, has made the live matches of the NPFL in the last season a delightful experience for fans who were unable to visit match venues.”
“We look forward to greater engagement through this platform with potential business partners and an increased number of fans.”
