Nigeria men’s senior cricket team coach, Steve Tikolo, has announced his final 14-man squad for the 2026 ICC T20 World Cup Sub-Regional Qualifiers C, which will be played in Abuja from November 23 to 28, PUNCH Sports Extra reports.

Team captain Sylvester Okpe leads the Nigerian squad for the tournament, as Tikolo’s men battle Eswatini, Botswana, Ivory Coast, St Helena and Sierra Leone for the two spots available in the group.

Okpe is joined by wicketkeeper Sulaimon Runsewe as well as the duo Isaac Okpe and Isaac Danladi who recently returned from club duties in Zimbabwe.

Big bowlers Peter Aho, Chiemele Udekwe and Prosper Useni are also on the team.

Others are former U-19 captain Ridwan Abdulkareem, Joshua Asia, Mohammed Taiwo, Vincent Adewoye, Elijah Olaleye, Selim Salau and batter Daniel Ajekun.

The final squad was announced from a pool of 18 players who were invited to camp in Abuja.

The players received the announcement on Wednesday after their last training session before it was released to the media on Thursday.

Nigeria’s first match is against St Helena on Saturday at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium Oval 2 before taking on Ivory Coast on Sunday.

A date with Eswatini will be on Monday while further tests await the Yellow Greens against Sierra Leone on Tuesday and Botswana in the last game on Wednesday.
