Two persons who were occupants of a Mitsubishi canter vehicle lost their lives after the vehicle crashed along the Straight Gate area of the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway on Wednesday.

This was contained in a traffic update sent to newsmen by the Commandant of the Ogun State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Agency, Seni Ogunyemi, on Wednesday.

Ogunyemi said the accident occurred in the early hours of the day due to excessive speeding on the part of the driver.

The TRACE commandant noted that three persons, male adults, were involved in the crash while two of the victims died in the crash.

“A reported fatal accident at the Straight Gate, Isara-Remo inbound Lagos Ibadan Expressway. Vehicle Involved: Green Mitsubishi Canter, Reg KLG 213 XA.

“According to an eyewitness, the accident was caused due to excessive speed by the driver.

“Three male occupants were involved while two of the occupants died. The presumed dead bodies were taken to the FOS morgue in Ipara-Remo,” the update noted.
