Aston Villa are hoping to use Champions League qualification to tempt Super Eagles star Ademola Lookman to join the club ahead of other Premier League giants this summer.

According to Caught Offside, Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester United, Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur, and Newcastle United are all interested in signing the Nigeria international.

Villa hold a strong interest in Lookman and remains hopeful he will join if they achieve Champions League qualification for a second successive season.

The report suggests that Atalanta is seeking around €65m (£55m) to let Lookman leave after rejecting offers in the region of £40m last summer.

The African Player of the Year has been in outstanding form for Atalanta, contributing significantly to the Italian club’s success this season with impressive performances that have captured the attention of Europe’s elite clubs.

According to Chroniclelive, Lookman has already informed Atalanta of his desire to leave the Bergamo club at the end of the season after submitting a formal transfer request. The London-born star is said to be keen on a return to the Premier League, where he previously featured for Everton, Leicester City and Fulham.

Newcastle United and Manchester United have reportedly held preliminary talks with the player, who has one year remaining on his contract with Atalanta, which includes an option for the club to extend by an extra season.

Beyond Premier League interest, Barcelona coach Hansi Flick has picked Lookman over Liverpool’s Luis Diaz as his primary transfer target for the Catalan club’s attacking reinforcement.

Despite Barcelona’s well-documented financial struggles, Flick is pushing for Lookman’s acquisition, though signing him could prove challenging given Atalanta’s valuation.

Spanish media outlet Fichajes reported that Barcelona has already initiated contact with Lookman’s representatives, with Flick viewing him as a key potential addition to strengthen the club’s attacking options.
