DONALD Trump slammed President Joe Biden as a “broken down pile of c**p” in a newly surfaced video and dubbed Kamala Harris “pathetic”.

The former US president ranted from his seat on a golf buggy and made a false claim that Biden had withdrawn from the presidential race.

Appearing to hand over a cash tip on the golf course to several supporters, Trump said: “How did they do in the debate the other day?”

He then referred to “that old broken down pile of crap”, echoing his earlier taunts about Biden’s performance during their first head-to-head debate.

Biden bizarrely admitted that he almost fell asleep during the bumbling screening – which saw members of his own party call for him to quit.

In the footage shared on Trump’s own Truth Social network, he claimed Kamala would be taking over from Biden despite repeated comments from his camp which insist he won’t quit.

The MAGA leader ranted: “He just quit you know, he’s quitting the race, he’s out of the race.”

He continued: “And that means we have Kamala [Harris]… She’s so bad, she’s so pathetic, she’s so fucking bad.”

In a patronising sneer, Trump added: “Can you imagine that girl dealing with Putin and the president of China who is a very fierce person?”

Last Thursday Biden, 81, and Trump, 78, faced off in the first televised CNN debate – incredibly early for the November presidential election.

It appeared to be a gamble taken by the White House camp – which may not have paid off.

Members of Biden’s own Democrat party dubbed it an “unmitigated disaster”, “a meltdown”, and “a slow-motion car crash”.

The White House came out in defence of the president and said he was suffering from a cold and a sore throat during the debate.

His voice from the off was hushed and he often stumbled over certain answers or lost his train of thought entirely.

It was a far cry from the concise speaking Biden who battled Trump during the presidential debates of 2020.

Despite repeated calls from politicians and even US media outlets, Biden has doubled down on his plans to stay until the bitter end.

This week he insisted: “Let me say this as clearly as I possibly can, as simply and straightforward as I can: I am running.

“Let me say this as clearly as I possibly can, as simply and straightforward as I can: I am running.”

Biden made the comments to a host of Democratic colleagues, some who travelled all the way to DC for an emergency summit on the PR crisis of Biden’s stammering performance, NBC reports.

First Lady Jill Biden also insisted her husband would not back down while speaking to Vogue from Camp David this week where the president’s family gathered for crunch talks.

White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre also reassured the media that Biden is “clear-eyed and staying in the race.”

When pressed on whether he would step aside, Jean-Pierre insisted, “Absolutely not.”

Biden did admit to voters in North Carolina that he struggles to debate the way he used to, just a day after his televised faux pas.

The president said he doesn’t “speak as smoothly”, “debate as well” or “walk as easy” as he used to.

Expert Analysis – Impact of the debate

Measuring the Impact of the debate with an expert:

Southern Illinois University Associate Professor of Political Science Ken Mulligan told The U.S. Sun the “election is effectively tied; it’s closer than any presidential election in decades.”

However, he believes that Trump now has the “momentum and advantage.”

He believes that although presidential debates usually don’t have a huge impact on election results, this one could affect voter turnout, as Biden and Trump both are historically unpopular.

And while Trump is still “the most unpredictable candidate ever,'” Mulligan thinks that Thursday night’s debate could feature fewer personal attacks than past bouts.

“Trump is now a convicted felon,” he added.

“But I don’t see that as necessarily being a huge problem for him, because most Republicans think these charges were politically motivated.”
