A United Kingdom-based singer, Keys the Prince, has given his reason for featuring Mayorkun on his new song titled, ‘Left Right remix’.
According to the singer, the original track, was well received by fans, many of who asked him to make a remix.
Signed to 5K Records, an imprint of Sony Music UK, the singer, who is also known as Omo London, told Saturday Beats, “Mayorkun is a great artiste. When it comes to remixes, he usually does a good job. I believe he would add something that would elevate the song. He actually heard the song and reached out to me. We went on to record the song, and he has been showing me a lot of love. I am excited about it.”
The singer added that ‘Left Right’ pays homage to iconic gospel musician, Yinka Ayefele, by sampling the chorus of one of his hit songs.
Asked how music began for him, he said, “I was introduced to music by playing the keyboard. After I started playing the keyboard, I fell in love with music from a production standpoint. Before, I just wanted to be behind the scenes and play the keyboard. But, I then realised that I was even better than some of the people I was playing the keyboard for.”
