She’s played a bridesmaid in The Wedding Crashers but the tears of joy were real when Rachel McAdams was a member of the bridal party at her sister Kayleen’s wedding in Canada on Saturday.

Wearing a pale blue, draped halterneck gown and gold heels, the Aloha actress, 36, dabbed at her eyes with a tissue as her sister married Evan Turner in an outdoor ceremony at the Port Cunnington Lodge in Muskoka, Canada.

Kayleen, who told Teen Vogue in 2007 that she decided to become a makeup artist after visiting her big sister on a film set, works in Los Angeles with stars including Rachel, Sofia Vergara and Zooey Deschanel.

“Working with her is amazing because your family can be honest with you without hurting your feelings. And I really trust her aesthetic eye,” Rachel toldStella magazine in 2012. “When we travel they book separate hotel rooms for us, and we say, ‘We can just bunk together. We’ll have two twin beds.’ Never in my wildest dreams did I think my sister and I would be traveling around to movie premieres and walking down the red carpet together.”
