After a long year of office work or business engagements among many other things, Nigerians can afford to look forward to unwinding as the year winds down.
While there are many options to relax and have fun in this period, a major way many Nigerians ease off during the yuletide is by attending entertainment concerts, comedy shows, drama, or stage play headlined by popular musicians, comedians and actors.  
Among such shows that entertained fun lovers in 2022 included; Wizkid’s Starboy Live Lagos 2022, Adekunle Gold’s Catch Me If You Can, Kizz Daniel LIVE, Vibes On The Beach With Big Wiz 2022, Mavin All-Star Concert, Ric Hassani One Night Only, Davido Fans Concert, The Party Concert: Larry Gaga (Ft. Wande Coal, 2 Baba, Peruzzi, etc), Chike Live: The Brother’s Keeper, Mayorkun Live, Afro Youth Fiesta, Rhythm Unplugged, Johnny’s Room Live 4 (Abuja Edition), Afro and the Beats Music Festival, Palmwine Music Festival Lagos, The Cavemen Live In Ibadan, Silent Disco, Fuji Vibrations among many others.

1. Flytime Fest 2023: Coca-Cola Rhythm Unplugged
For Afrobeats fans worldwide, there is no dispute over the fact that the chorus is clear that from music chart-toppers to rising stars, Nigerian music acts are transforming Lagos into the music capital of the world. Yet again, December 2023 would not be left out, as Flytime Fest’s Coca-Cola Rhythm Unplugged is set to blow the minds of fun lovers.

On the 21st of December, Lil Durk, Roddy Ricch, Ajebo Hustlers, BNXN, Seyi Vibez, Shallipopi, Fave, Fireboy, Iyanya, Mayorkun, Spyro, Wurld, Victony and more to be announced will storm the Eko Convention Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos, for the first leg of the much-anticipated concert.

On the 23rd, Flytime Fest will be celebrating Kizz Daniel’s 10 years of amazing music career run. In a statement on its Instagram handle, while announcing the ‘Buga’ crooner as the headliner for the day, it wrote, “If there’s one thing we love about him, it’s his consistency with making back-to-back hits for just about every audience. Come celebrate VADO at 10 on the 23rd of December at Flytime Fest.”

On December 24, 2023, Davido would be headlining the show for the day, thrilling his fans and afrobeat music lovers with banging tunes such as ‘Unavailable’, ‘Feel’, ‘Champion Sound’, ‘Over Dem’, etc, all from his ‘Timeless’ album, as well as throwing it back to show-stoppers including ‘Back When’, ‘Gobe’, ‘Skelewu’, ‘Risky’, ‘FEM’, ‘Assurance’, ‘Fire’, ‘Jowo’, ‘Blow my mind’, among others.

Come Christmas Day, December 25, 2023, the music rave of the moment, Asake, will be the headline artiste for the music fest. As expected, the organisers seem to have saved the best for the last. With hits like ‘Lonely at the Top’, ‘2:30’, ‘Amapiano’, ‘Basquiat’, ‘Yoga’, ‘Pallazo’, and his latest release, ‘Remember’, Asake is set to dazzle his fans and music lovers.  
2. Spinall: Party Of Your Dreams 2023 (8th Edition)
Ace Nigerian Disc Jockey, DJ Spinall will be hosting his fans and music lovers to a 5-hour high-energy performance synonymous with his name, alongside performances from fellow DJ friends and artistes at the Federal Palace Hotel and Casino.

3. Young Jonn: The Jiggy Concert
So far, 2023 has been a phenomenal year for ace music producer turned singer, John Saviours Udomboso, popularly known as Young Jonn (The Wicked Producer). To wrap up a successful 2023 music expedition, the ‘Xtra Cool’ hit-maker is set to take his fans on a rollercoaster ride of his hit songs as he takes centre stage at the Palms, Lagos, on the 17th of December 2023 with his debut headline concert tagged ‘The Jiggy Concert’, the ultimate prelude to his forthcoming album in 2024.

Billed to hold on Wednesday, December 20, 2023, at The Palms, with a star-studded lineup of artistes including Shallipopi, Skiibii, Dremo, Seyi Vibez, Ice Prince, and Barry Jhay, among others.  
9. Reminisce: Alaye Toh Se Gogo
Reminisce’s ‘Alaye Toh Se Gogo’ concert is undoubtedly for those whose music appeal tilts towards street-hop/rap.
